Fourth Thursday of November

So by custom, the fourth Thursday of November in the United States is called Thanksgiving Day. It is a day to celebrate those things/people we are thankful for in our lives; and, it has its basis on a little piece of misinterpreted history. According to tradition, Thanksgiving Day commemorates the day the natives helped the puritans when these were dying of hunger in an act of pure goodness that later proved rather foolish. Sure, the natives were unaware of what their act of kindness would cause them to suffer, but at this point in time and knowing what we know why do we celebrate that the natives fed the puritans so that unknowingly the latter could recover their strength and later steal from and slaughter the former?

Yet, a feast was prepared at my house too...
